Ministry: Russia’s wheat exports fall 21.6% to 14.8 mln tns by Nov 18

MOSCOW, Nov 22 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wheat exports have decreased by 21.6% on the year to 14.8 million tonnes since the start of the current agricultural year on July 1 through November 18, the Agriculture Ministry said on Monday.

Total grain exports fell by 23% on the year to 17.6 million tonnes, barley exports by 34.3% to 2 million tonnes, and corn exports by 13.8% to around 600,000 tonnes.

In the previous agricultural year, which ran from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, Russia’s grain exports amounted to 49 million tonnes, including 37.6 million tonnes of wheat. The grain export forecast for the 2021–2022 agricultural year stands at 45–48 million tonnes, according to the ministry.
